Sorry About that Accidental Hiatus + What Have We Been Up To?

Sorry about that accidental hiatus … and that super long title! We’ve been swamped with work lately–not of the school variety necessarily, but rather, bookish stuff. As in … editing. Again.

In case you didn’t hear (shameless self promo coming up), we launched an editing service late last month called The Writing Duo Critique Services. We have FREE packages and low-cost packages (i.e., less than $15 U.S.!) at the moment, so if you need help with your book pitch for contests, your opening pages, etc., feel free to fill out this contact form!

The reason we (shamelessly) self-promo’d right there was because, well, now we’re doing knee-deep edits ourselves. And haven’t been doing much else, besides driving lessons. So, all in all, it’s been many days sitting at the computer, trying to get some work done. Many days writing writing writing and not blogging about what we’ve been up to, because we’re so sunk into our manuscript. Which is fine! But we think it’s time for us to poke our heads out of the water, apologize for that accidental hiatus, and see what all of YOU are up to! Have you been reading lately? We haven’t gotten much reading done (see: knee-deep in edits). And we’ve been doing editing workshops at schools (so much fun!) and have even more writing-related presentations coming up, AND a **BOOK SIGNING** on July 23rd at Chapters Vega (Mississauga/Oakville in the Greater Toronto Area!)

Aside from not getting much reading done (we just wish we could binge read ACOMAF and TRAITOR ANGELS right now!), it’s our cousin’s wedding this weekend! Which means … more busy-ness! And lots of family from England and the U.S. are over, so it’s going to be a busssssyyyy time. Not that we don’t love to take a break from bookish stuff and hanging out with family. And … ask them about their current reads. 😉

Let us know what you’ve been up to lately, and drop your current read below in the comments! And if you’ve seen any of our tweets on Twitter lately (@PendantTrilogy), you’ll know we’re giving out FREE e-copies of THE PENDANT TRILOGY to reviewers, so if you want to snag yours, email thependanttrilogy(at)gmail(dot)com, if you feel like you can review them honestly and in a reasonable amount of time. 😀

Until next time, everyone!

Hello from Toronto. Can I try your free package for first 5 pages of my Mexican YA fiction? Thanks @giorabooks          on Twitter I live in the building at Bay/Bloor where there is a big Indigo Books stores and every Saturday they allow authors (even self-published authors) to sit on a table and sell their books. I’ll be happy to connect you with them.

It’s so great that you two started your own editing services! I loooove editing, so I’m always glad to see others love it too. Don’t worry about the hiatus either—do what you need to do!
