Hey, all! Looks like there was a lot happening this week in YA. Not only were there TONS of book releases, like MAGNUS CHASE #1: The Sword of Summer (Sarena’s most anticipated release of the year!), CARRY ON, A MADNESS SO DISCREET (our ARC review is HERE), LIFE AND DEATH (looks like Stephenie Meyer pulled a Beyonce), THE REST OF US JUST LIVE HERE, THE WHITE ROSE, and so many more!
But now let’s talk about the good stuff–the trailers and cover releases. The new (and final!) Mockingjay Part 2 trailer dropped on October 6 and it’s full of feels and action! Definitely not one to disappoint! You can watch the trailer here.
The new SHADOWHUNTERS teaser trailer dropped as well. This show airs in January on ABC Family and is based on the Shadowhunters novels by Cassandra Clare (or at least The Mortal Instruments series). But the name provides plenty of opportunity for expansion into her other writings in the Shadowhunter world. You can watch the trailer here. (I also noticed the trailer dropped a few subtle spoilers, so beware if you haven’t read the first or second book in the TMI series!)
Along with the Shadowhunters theme, the cover for LADY MIDNIGHT, the first book in “The Dark Artifices” trilogy came out. It’s an interesting look–and seems to match the newer covers as well. Here it is!
And finally, the fifth and final book in the SELECTION SERIES (or the second book in the additional duology) has a title! It’s called THE CROWN and will be out March 3, 2016.
