September Wrap-Up and October Releases! [2015]

Happy October! We can’t believe September has come and gone! With school back in full swing, we, unfortunately, didn’t get much reading done, as you’ll soon see…

Sarena read three books:

  1. Dreamland by Robert L. Anderson (4* — review here!)
  2. Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo (3* — review tk!)
  3. The White Rose by Amy Ewing (4* — review tk!)

She also started Truthwitch by Susan Dennard, The Hound of the Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and The Scorpion Rules by Erin Bow!

Sasha read three books:

  1. Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff (4.5 – 5*)

It’s not a YA fantasy, but my favorite read of September was N.K. Jemisin’s The Fifth Season. The world-building, the orogenes’ earth-manipulating powers (it’s hard to call it magic, but it’s pretty awesome), and the twists regarding the POV characters all blew me away.
