Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas (Review)

Where to begin, oh where to begin? If you haven’t started the epic YA high fantasy series THRONE OF GLASS (it’s gonna be six books, guys) then you MUST. Today we’ll be giving a (non-spoiler) review for the third book in the series, HEIR OF FIRE.

Heir of Fire, in our opinion, is the best book of the series so far. (We have yet to read the prequel novella bind-up, THE ASSASSIN’S BLADE.) But let’s just say this book WILL TEAR YOU APART. Kind of. Sort of. Yeah, it will.

We absolutely loved ALL the perspectives in this book. Some people don’t enjoy how much they veered from the usual three perspectives (Celaena, Chaol, and Dorian — who are still POVs, don’t worry). There were a few new ones that branched away from the usual plot-line, but it was so cool to see different types of characters fleshed out in this book. This book was pretty long, and it took us both over a week to finish (we don’t know why, it was so good) but it explained SO much more of this magical world. More secrets, more lies, more betrayals. It’s heartbreaking. And the relationships in this series just keep getting more and more complicated. We don’t know what’s going to happen in Queen of Shadows!

Have you read this awesome book yet? If you haven’t, this installment is worth the read! And look at that EPIC cover! Which cover is your favourite in the series? Tell us in the comments below!

Until next time,
