Mysterious and Thrilling: A Review of Dangerous Girls by Abigail Haas

Hey, everyone! Today we’ll be reviewing DANGEROUS GIRLS by Abigail Haas, a YA suspense/thriller novel that came out in 2013. We picked up this book from the library recently, and wanted to read it because we have an e-arc of the next novel, DANGEROUS BOYS. And boy, did we enjoy this book!

This book follows a teenage girl named Anna and her friends during spring break in Aruba. Anna thinks it’ll be a fun time away from parents and the stresses of high school. Right?

Just days into their trip, Anna’s friend is brutally murdered. This book is not told in chronological order, so it flips from Anna’s time with her friends on vacation, to when she first met her best friend, and all the way forward to when she sits in trial. Because everyone thinks it was Anna who killed her best friend!

The entire time, we guessed who could be the killer — and each chapter our feelings would change! This book kept us on the edge of our seats, and I (Sasha) devoured it in less than two days.

If you’re looking for a dark, compelling book unlike anything you’ve read before, this book is a mysterious journey you won’t want to put down. It’s great for fans of Pretty Little Liars, but in our opinions, it’s definitely much darker.

Overall, we gave this book 5 stars. It was great from start to finish. Pick this one up if you haven’t already — you won’t regret it!
